BURNT CORN, ALABAMA

OLD BARBER SHOP

This a photo of what once was a barber shop. This barber shop was once ran by "Duck" Walters during the 1930s. The sign on the indicates that haircuts were 10 cents and a shave 5 cents during that period. Currently this building is located next to the JFB Lowery General Store that once served as the U.S. Post Office, Masonic Lodge, and the meeting place for the Burnt Corn Methodist Church in 1908 until it's own building was constructed in 1913.
