John Tait parent is belived to have been slaves. Little is known about John Tait except that he married a woman by the name of Rachael. John is the father of Hettie Tait and grandfather of James "Jim" Tait and the great grandfather of Hettie Irene (Tait) Watson. John Tait married Racheal and they had nine children: Hettie, Prince, Sandy, Osborne, Frank, Renita, Lude, Shephard, and Alberta.
