The Watson Family
Slyvester "Vest" Watson is the second son of Alfred Mobley Watson and Elvira Armstrong. Vest was about 12 when his father suddenly died and he was raised by his brother Joseph Lee "Joe" Watson and mother Elvira. He attended the Puryearville School in Burnt Corn. He fathered a child out of weblock with ___________ Miller and the named the child Carl Helbert. Vest met and married Goldie Smith and they moved to Balitmore, Maryland and live there for many years. Vest and Goldie had 7 or 8 children before they divorced. Little is known about the children. Vest then moved to Pensacola, Florida where he was employed by the Federal Government. His job later transferred him to Cocoa Beach, Florida and after a few years then on to Miami, Florida. While in Miami, he fathered another child by the name of Bennie ________. After retiring from the government he moved back to Burnt Corn, and lived there for seveval years until his death in 1987.
